Seller Safety

How to sell safer on private MU servers

TedMarket helps you get discovered, contacted and reviewed. The actual in-game handoff should still be done in a safer, lower-risk way.

Best practice
  1. Move the item to a smaller trade character instead of using your main account whenever possible.
  2. Do not use your real MU account name, main character name or a very similar nickname as your TedMarket username.
  3. Confirm character name, map, server and exact meeting time in TedMarket chat before logging in.
  4. Keep the agreement simple: one item, one buyer, one clear handoff.
Lower ban risk
  1. Avoid advertising the deal in global or server chat if that private server dislikes outside market activity.
  2. Use a secondary character for contact if your server is strict about trade behavior.
  3. Keep your public seller identity separate from your MU identity, so staff or other players cannot easily connect the account.
  4. Do not repeat suspicious high-value transfers too often on the same main account.
Before meeting
  1. Take one last look at the buyer profile, completed trades and recent reviews.
  2. Keep proof in chat of what item, what add level and which character is involved.
  3. If the buyer changes terms at the last second, stop and reset the deal in chat first.
After the trade
  1. Return to TedMarket and confirm the trade only after the in-game handoff is finished.
  2. Ask the buyer to confirm too, so the trade closes cleanly in history.
  3. Completed trades can lead to seller reviews, so good habits improve your public reputation.
Simple rule

TedMarket does not deliver the item. It gives sellers cleaner contact, a private chat flow and reputation through reviews. For frequent sellers, the safest pattern is usually a smaller trade character, a TedMarket username that does not match the MU account, and clear proof in chat.
